I'm getting a very odd problem with Windows XP Pro. Whenever I log off and then try to relog back in, my password doesn't work. However, if I reboot, my password works again. It's not that big of a problem, but it is annoying and I'd like to fix it if I can.

do you log into a domain? Make sure the domain drop down has the correct domain selected.

    Nope, no domain login.

I'm gonna try disabling all of my startup programs through MSCONFIG and see if that works. If so, then I'll add each one back one by one until I find the culprit.

Possibly 2 user accounts with the same name? Remove the password to all accounts and see if it still holds true.
