Obtaining a Clean Grip

    Im working on moving from a cross grip to clean grip for front squats. Just curious if there is anything i can do to help ease the tension on my wrists. I understand its just one of those things you get used to, but perhaps i can at least make it easier?

    I started out using all 5 fingers but now I just use my index and middle fingers on the bar.... makes it a lot less uncomfortable and makes it easier to get my elbows up high where they need to be.

    I use the wrist-mobility exercises in inside-out to warm-up. Static stretching my triceps helped too.

    i just do only 1 set and then sit in the corner and cry for a few minutes

    each time I cry a bit less

    either use just your index finger or your thumb until flexibility improves

    Hold your elbows up high and just use your index and middle fingers.

    Straight grip rapes my wrists. Ive tried it several different times but always go back to cross.

    Any major reasons why some one should avoid cross grip?

    Cross grip doesn't help with cleans.
