    I have always read a lot of you guys eat them/put them in your shakes. Looking over the nutritional value of the stuff I don't see anything great, so what is so great about them?

    Just wondering if I should start tossing them in my shakes too :dunno:

    The carbs are great for pre/post workout apparantly. You can just eat some veggies as a snack just as well if you can't take the texture.

    i just put them in there for easy calories, i've cut back on my shakes though so i rarely have oatmeal anymore

    See my ninja edit. I was referring to carbs in general, oats in your shake are just an easy and convenient way of doing so.
