I used to eat the individually packets of sugar filled flavored oatmeal. I've been trying to clean up my diet and get serious about cutting weight so I've gotten rid of them and picked up a tub of 100% natural oats.

What can I do to make this stuff taste better? It will really help me to keep on this stuff if I don't have to force it down my throat. Right now I'm just eating 1 cup of them with water, nothing added.

The rest of my breakfast routine is my protein shake and a banana when I wake up at about 7:30am then my oatmeal at 9:00am.

1 half cup oats, 1 cup water, nuke it for 1 minute 20ish seconds. Add tons of brown sugar.

I can probably get some PB, but I eat my oatmeal at work so I don't have a blender (at home or work) or even much of a fridge right now in the kitchen next to my office.

Well if you're cutting, you could try adding some vanilla extract and some cinnamon or cocoa powder and splenda.

    Man up?

Throw some protein powder and splenda in it; I usually have 1/2 cup dry oatmeal with 1 scoop whey and 1 T pb, plus a couple of packets of splenda.

In the morning I put 10 egg whites (and 2 whole eggs) in a frying pan with a cup of oats and some berries (strawberry this morning). Works out to part of my breakfast (have a shake too) and a snack before lunch.

I used to just have one cup plain oatmeal and water plain I nuked for 2 mins and ate between 9 and 10 AM slowly. That was core!

I like it plain...maybe that's just me. If I feel like switching it up I add some cinnamon and raisins. No sugar, no artificial sweetners.

i've got a box of regular quaker instant oats in front of me, and a box of apple-cinnamon in front of me.

the apple cinnamon has 1.5g of fat, .5 being saturated, 170g sodium and 27g carbs. the regular has 2g fat 0 saturated, 80mg sodium, 19g carbs.

for my oatmeal to not taste like fucking chalk, i'll gladly eat the apple-cinnamon.
