Do you guys have the 6 or the 8inch boot? I'm thinking 8 is the way to go right?
I wear Converse
If you are actually buying them for the desert - Don't..
They are hot as hell and depending on how long you are there (I was there 6 months and mine didn't last) they may not last the entire time - The sole will separate from the shoe..
I had 5.11's and with the exception of catching some concertina wire on the heel portion and ripping a hole there, they worked great!
When did you get them? I got mine in '05 and they started to fall apart too, and they are hot as well. You could see the sweat from my feet coming through the boot. I was even using foot powder.
I have heard that the newer ones are made better. They have a stitching on the front of the toe for the sole.
I have been debating on getting a new pair myself.
I'm not using them in the desert I will be using them in cadet land. I also heard the new set they have come out with are fine.
I rocked the issued steel toe bellevue boots and had no problems. Free FTW.
when the fuck they issue steel toed boots?
Air Force flightline maintenance.
they always do if they are required for your job
I have like 10 different pairs
my ssgt hooked us up with bellevue steel toes before he left the post
Hey couch, what do you do? I'm a former GACS guy myself. Or Av/GACS, after they changed the AFSC's.
