    Might as well eliminate takedowns and strikes with the legs and call it boxing! :ugh:

    There's a series in NJ that bans ground strikes to the head for amateur MMA. I think that's a great idea at that level. But completely banning ground strikes is kinda stupid really...and turns mma into something like sport jiujitsu

    Fuck New York. I don't see why they even care if it is legal there or not? Plenty of other places to hold events.

    I wouldn't mind seeing this.

    No strikes on the ground is better than no MMA at all. Plus, would change the way some people fight. More like a K-1 / BJJ hybrid rather than kickboxing/wrestling.
