    Im abuot to buy a new video card. Im nto no hardcore mothafucker gamer.
    IS the 7600gt good enought to run games nicely say for the next 2 years?

    or shuold i just spend more money on a 7900GT?

    Not for the next two years; I have the 7600 GT and it'll last maybe 6 months to a year at most. I'm going to replace it in 2-4 months.

    That's a tough call. Directx 10 is coming out, and I don't know how well the vendors are going to be able to make the cards backwards compatible.

    In the meantime though, a 7900gt would do a lot better of a job on the games that are out now.

    6 months is too short for me, i guess i'll go for the 7900gt

    I don't know how well the vendors are going to be able to make the GAMES backwards compatible.
