which is a better performer? the 5600 is at a higher clock speed, but the 5500 has more memory. this will be going into an amd xp 3000+ with 1gb pc3200 ram.

i have the 5600 ultra and its a solid card, that 256 memory wont help enough to make up for the clock speed.

i have the 5600 ultra as well, but i'm getting a new computer soon and it comes with the 5500... guess i'll just give that one to my brother since he needs a new card.

i am not sure what kind of money you have for a card but i was on a budget and i couldnt afford a 6000 level card so i got a GeForce FX5700 Ultra for $189, if only has 128 megs ram, but it is DDR3, super fast.

    I have a 5600 w/ 256MB DDR RAM, very nice, very fast.
