managed to fuck myself up pretty badly, cut down to the bone, fairly large gouge. i got it stitched up, but i'm wondering if you guys know of any foods or vitamins/etc that are particularly helpful in helping wounds heal (like how carrots supposedly help your vision). thanks!

Speak with a physician for details. In general, making sure that you are eating sufficient carbohydrates and proteins with vegetables for vitamins and fiber is a good idea.

Don't know anything specific. Just plenty of protein, lots of veggies and fruit and most importantly - rest. Sleep. Your body repairs the most when you sleep, so get plenty.

Also, don't smoke, don't drink and hopefully you're not diabetic because those 3 things are the biggest determining factors in how quickly you'll heal

sleep well and eat a whole lot of everything. increase your calories, protein, vitamin A, C, and zinc. some "good" fats help.

vitamin E is supposed to help minimize scarring
