A lot of you speak about second amendment rights, and some of you are writing senators and such. How many of you have taken the next step and joined the NRA?

I just signed up for the extended life purchase plan, which sould make me a life member in two years or so...got my card in the mail saturday :) :wiggle:

Never heard of the extended life purchase plan...

I'm on the Easy Payment Lifemember and it takes about 7 1/2 years to get it paid off.... I'll fully pay it off in 2 years when I'm out of college though.

The only magazine worth getting is America's 1st Freedom. Rifleman sucks.

I recomend the GOA, I think they take tougher no compromise stances then the NRA, dont have the lobbying power of the NRA but if more people join..

I've been a nra member for about a year and a half now. I've sent in a few small donations but I hesitate a bit because all this money is going to conseritave politicians, aka people I hate.

I'm not really convinced the nra is "the next step" to much other than getting a bunch of truck stop crap sent to me. I think they probably do more good than harm but I get tired of the gun owners who think they are utterly amazing. I don't think they're a fraction as effective as say the ACLU.

I just sent my app in today because my local 24hr outdoor range requires NRA membership. But it's only $35 so why not and the range will be so worth it.

I'm a member. It's not that expensive. If it helps then it's money well spent.

I'm a member, my range requires it.

The NRA does cave too much for my tastes, but the fact remains they are the largest and most powerful group to protect the second amendment. It's $25 a year, if that helps stop some of the gun grabbing by liberals then it's money well spent.

Thank the NRA for pushing for the AWB expiration and also for pushing to get the latest San Francisco gun ban in front of the courts.

If you look behind the scenes you will see they do more than you see.

Out. They don't truely care about a free 2nd amendment. Just hunting and all out bans. Try to get them to get the machine gun ban repealed = turned down.

    Not gonna get my money.
