Competed in my first NRA High Power Match. I have a lot to learn from these old guys.:x:
    The course of fire was:
200 yd slow fire standing (20 rnds in 20 min)
200 yd rapid fire sitting or kneeling (2 x 10 rounds 60 sec)
    300 yd rapid fire prone (2 x 10 rounds 60 sec)
600 yd slow fire prone (20 rnds in 20 min)

I had a lot of fun and after the match we setup the BA50 and the Remmy 700.

Yes, that's a VERY expensive David Tubb front site.

Wait a damn minute, were you with some guys there later on Sunday in a white Saturn? That Remington looks familiar.

I was the guy wearing the orange shirt, I was with my father and brother trying my father's Russian SKS he finally decided to take out. Hopefully I'll see you around, I go spectate those high power matches every now and then.

I was out there Sunday breaking in a new barrel. Coworker said I missed the .50 by about an hour. :(

They use miniature targets at 200 yards to simulate 600 I believe. I had no clue so many people were ARC members on here.

Honesty, I would not know if it makes a difference, its not mine. The Remmy 700 belongs to my friend as you can see in the pics. He is taking it to GPS Defense sniper school later this month.:)

It's a $70 first year fee I believe, then $100 a year after that. It sounds like a lot, but the other competition around here is Reds, and it's $14 an hour there. Not to mention Red's is indoors. There is a short educational "class" (really for the people that haven't ever been to a range) and a safety test on the pistol range with an instructor. All you have to do is go cold when a cease-fire is called and exhibit basic safety on the firing line, it's cake. The rifle club is great, you should join if you end up here.

Do shooters get to go down-range during cease-fires?

Nice pics. Really good of the .50 and Remmy Bolt.

For the NRA high power stuff, can you use a bone stock 16" AR-15 A3 and expect to be competitive?

Very nice pics. My brother is an ARC member too. I went to visit him a while ago and we spent all day shooting there before I had to fly out that evening. Nice facility.

Yes, you usually call cease fire and check with people if you want to go down range.

I wouldn't know since it's my first match but I would day no. Most guys are running National Match rifles with NM sights. Also, it depends on what match you are doing. Service is an AR15 rifle, no carbines. They should be like M16A2s. Match is anything goes, but only irons are allowed.
