bugs like damn.
crazy shots. i wonder how they get so much DOF
I would be scared to go anywhere close to these things let alone take a picture...that is amazing.
heh why is one have the hellsing pentagram in it?
i wonder what his setup was. If I was that close to some of those things, I would piss my pants and run screaming like a high school girl at a jonas brothers concert
a lot of those bugs are dead
Then why are they all stalking me with their eyes wide open
wow! some great shots
well, im not sure if they are capable of getting this close, but with a tilt shift lens you are able to get more of a certain plane in focus and maybe thats how some of these were done. or just maybe just a longer focal length where dof increases the further something is away... i dunno, im still a noob
Amazing work. Thanks for sharing!
Those pictures are so
The lighting is awesome.
The vast majority of those critters were harmless to humans... The millipedes, Centipedes, and scorpions are the only ones that might have been dangerous as far as the insectile critters went. Then the crocodile and snapper as well. beyond that, there really wasn't any risk.
those are amazing shots...
dont get me wrong, for most of that shit id run around like a little girl too till i remember something my father told me...
"just remember, to those little things, you are godzilla to them, and thats why they freak out and try to attack you, but when it comes down to them, just stomp 'em"
and as a kid, i was a big godzilla fan, and i thought to myself, yea, thats right, im mutha fuckin' godzilla biiiaattccchh!!!!!!! *stomp* take that, you're lucky i dont have radioactive breath!!!
I don't kill bugs. Call me crazy, but I prefer not to kill anything.
I love all the different Praying Mantis shots, but they are all amazing. Good find, thanks for the link.
a lot of those shots are easier than you think, because they're actually still-lifes.
I need to get access to one of these places. Cuz dead or not, those shots are fucking awesome!
also, most of the danger leaves the scene when the aminal is dead.
Focus Stacking... you take multiple pictures, one focused on the head, one on the abdomen or whatever, one on the body, one with the antennae, one with the legs, etc.. then you stack them all together in PP and come out with a sharp image overall.
that bugs me.....sorry had too....
