now that 2407fpw prices are falling, should I pick up a 2405fpw?

there's one for sale for $475. I already have one, so this would make my workstation a dual-monitor setup

Next year at this time, we'll probably be talking about the 30" panels getting cheap.

I have a 2405, the only real difference that I recall is that the 2407 is HDCP compliant, the 2405 is not. That's really only going to matter if you're watching HD video from Blue Ray or an HD DVD player.

Is 475 really that much cheaper than the 2407? I have used both, and I must admit the stand on the 2405 is much nicer.

I don't know.. $475 is actually $450 on Anandtech + half of shipping. I have no idea what 2407 monitors are going for. The only movies I'm going to be watching on it are probably regular DVD's and the occasional TV show.
