2006 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew
Nice. When do I get to drive it?
After my wife
and no one rides for free
I can handle your wife going first. I like sloppy seconds.
Hmm...I can get ya some ammo.
Been thinking about dumping my exploder for a pickup, leaning more towards a Taco though. Supercrew come with a sunroof option?
yes it does
nice truck bro
You of all people buying a Ford?
From what I found, its the best truck on the market
I guess I didnt add that when they took my Maxima to get appraised some 80yo lady backed into the side of it while the salesguy was taking it over there
They worked me a good deal, I got almost NADA for a trade in and knocked a bunch off my payment and insurance went down.
That's a bold statement
Titan/Tundra > Silverado > Ram > F-150
Ram has the best motor. But we're talking real trucks here, not toys
Titan = has power, but worst truck on the market per consumer reports. Quality is horrible, my friend had a Titan and had first break job at 6000miles, he dumped it.
Tundra is a good truck, I really like the 07, but coudlnt waited till they come out.
Overall design (larger frames and outboard mounted shocks) and materials = F-150 > ram and silverado
I would say 5.6 in Titan > Ram Hemi
My F-150 is a going to be a daily driving people mover, which is why the 4.6L is fine.
Congrats on the truck.
I woulda went 4x4 and 5.4L, tho.
But black looks really nice on the F150.
Nissan 5.6L Endurance V8 definitely > Dodge.
The 4.6L XLT with the TX/OK package was rebated to hell... sticker was 32k and I paid 24k and got 1.9% on it.
I was trying to get out as cheap as possible.
I wanted red, but they gave me a better deal taking one off their lot instead of moving one from another dealer, so I got the Black and Tan, I really think the truck looks sharp
yea, looks real sharp.
I wanted Silver or White when I got my Tundra, but they offered me a deal to take the Green one of the lot. $36k MSRP with OTD at $27k ftw
Hard to argue color when they come in with a few grand off on price just to move a unit.
Yeah, the build quality with the Titan is hit or miss, really. I have a Titan King Cab and it has been wonderful for the duration. I feel like the F-150 is very antiquated in many regards, which is why I place it below the Ram and F-150. It's still a good truck, however.
When I said the Ram motor was better, I was talking about the Cummins diesel--the big trucks, not the 1/2 tons. I have a Silverado 2500 crew with a Cummins swap and I LOVE the thing....pushing over 1000 torque. Yeah, it goes on the dyno alot.
well, this is the 1/2ton market, and Dodge stinks there.
The Cummins 24V is one of the few things decent about their 3/4-1ton rigs... And it's interesting that that is the only thing that Dodge has ZERO control over. In other words, one of the only good things about a Dodge diesel is that they don't make the motor
And even tho they use a good motor, they stick a shitty tranny behind it. For shame. Too bad, too, because I actually like the 2006 Ram interior. Like the dash.
THe only thing I think Ford is behind on with the F-150 is HP, but I dont tow anything with mine, just drive to work, and it drives really nice and I love it so far.. with 70 miles and all
But a truthful one.
Congrats on the new truck! I would have required the console + shifter though...
I like the column shifter, which is also why I didnt get the captains chairs, I like the bench seat so its open if I need it
It'd do a LOT better with a 5 or 6-speed auto. I don't know why Ford overlooked the tranny.
Just got off the phone with the dealer, I am going to get a LineX liner put in.
nice truck man..
