:( I hope things work out for you. The job market is really tough right now. I just spent 5 months looking for full time work.

Thanks guys. It really does suck. $2k/month mortgage FTL. A few months of mortgage in the bank FTW though I guess.

I'm coming up on my 5th month unemployed. Isn't much out there, and what is they are using the economy as an excuse to underpay by 25%+.

I have an interview next week, it's from 8am-12:45pm meeting with 6 different people. I'll go, but that is a little ridicilous if you ask me.

Call your mortgage holder today. Tell them what happened - you might be surprised, they should be able to work with you. Apparently when GU got laid off, his mortgage holder gave him 6 months. :dunno: It can't hurt.

Unemployment ~350 a week each if you max it out. Get your shit submitted quickly as everyone is pretty behind. Employer now pays 65% of cobra once you get it set up (may take a couple months). You can file just about everything online in most states.

It may take a while to find a job, so use this time to take a break and think about what you really want to do with your time. It gives you a huge opportunity to find yourself if you don't like what you do.

Honestly getting laid off was the best thing that ever happened to me...thus far.

Thanks again - We've already both filed for unemployment, we should get back $900-$1000 per week together. Not quite the 100K we were clearing together, but it will definitely help.
I don't have any .223 to sell, my AR is 5.45. I'll sell the BMW before I sell it :)

I am working freelance still with my own business, and going back to school. Figure now's the best time. There are NO jobs unless you're in specific areas.

Best of luck to both of you in these hard times. Keep your head up and stay focused on what matters, you'll be surprised how fast you'll be able to turn it around.

I was a Director of our company's parts department (Northwest region)...dealing with inventory mainly and general SOX compliance. Had ~15 people under me.
My wife was the office manager of our local branch.
I guess I'm glad it happened now that we're young (I'm 25, she's 24), than 30 years down the road when it would be even more difficult to find a job.
