Since I've started my new ADHD medicine, I've had a complete loss of appetite from 8am to 8pm every day. Since I'm trying to put on weight, this isnt helping. I'm going to see a doctor today at 4:30 to talk about the new pills and how they are working. Is there any type of pill that can counteract the appetite loss of the ADHD medicine? Thanks in advance.

which are you taking? there are some non-amphetamine meds out there now for ADHD that you may want to check out... in the meantime, I would go for liquid cals

I dont know man, I used to be on a couple of diff ADHD drugs. I gave them up and decided it wasn't worth it for the hassle.

You could try going the natural way, I cut high fructose corn syrup, and most other sugars, and started going to the gym and it worked wonders for me.

If you can pull of "naturally" doing it, you are better off, since when you come off of the drugs at 8pm or so, your attention span goes awa.. hey look a balloon!

Strattera is a med for ADHD and it's not a stimulant. I would ask your doc about that.

Strattera has had some very mixed results with people. Some people, like me and asumably the poster, respond best to stimulants. Me so much so that the other ones don't make much of a noticable difference, or my body adjusts to them too quickly.

One of the guys I lifted with in HS dropped from 180 to 165 when he started taking something for his ADD. That shit can cut a ton of weight off of you if you aren't careful.

Honestly, when I'm serious about bulking, I eat to a schedule and not to when I'm hungry. It's not all that fun, but you could do the same thing.

Im in the same boat, I started taking adderal about 1 month ago. Just keep eating, even when your not hungry. Eventually your body will adjust and your hunger will come back. I make big shakes too which is easier to get down, consisting of milk, protein powder, oats, peanut butter, olive oil, creatine, and banannas.

have you looked into natropathic ways to deal with your "adhd"? just wondering. many people these days are quick to jump on drugs. power of the mind baby.

edit: not that i'm questioning your disorder, but you should always look at your options.

I've been on different meds for 5 years.
    I've tryed neuro-feedback, doesnt work.

The meds seem to help me concentrated the most, even though I only have a small case of adhd, they make a difference.

I don’t know how it would react with meds, but my first suggestion is pot.
