I'm 6"1'. I've gone from 156lbs to 175lbs in 5 months. I've definitely gained a lot of muscle mass and my strength has gone way up. But I don't like the body fat I've added.

I've primarily used Cyotgainer to supplement my diet to get enough calories. Otherwise, I eat a lot of turkey (sliced, ground, baked, etc.), some chicken, whole grain breads, beans, beef jerky, sweet potatoes and carrots. All-in-all, on average, 3000 min. calories a day, ~200g protein, ~300+g carbs. Usually 4 meals, maybe 5.

I want to keep gaining, but I want to minimize my fat gains from this point on. I know that means slower muscle gains, but I'm fine with that.

What would be some good dietary changes to make? Less carbs? Muscle Milk instead of Cytogainer? I do cardio 2-3 times a week, should I change that?

But I need to keep my protein intake up, right? So should I lower carb intake to achieve the caloric drop?

cuttin the carbs down on non workout days did it for me. i dropped 5lbs in two weeks (in water weight and bloat, went down a belt size) when i reduced my carbs as such.

was eating 350+ on workout days, 250+ non workout days.

curently eating 300 on workout days , 100-150 on non workout days

cool, thanks for the input. I might make the switch to Muscle Milk then, so I can still get a good protein blend with good fats, and then control my carb intake with foods

How so? All the carbs? I think it was a good starter shake for me because it has so many calories, but now I need to move on to better options methinks

good read, thanks. I was hoping to keep it simple, but I think I can adapt what that article is saying to something a tad simpler.

Every day: Lots and lots of protein
Off days: Low carbs and calories, but some good fats. Limit carbs to the morning.
On days: Lots of carbs and calories. Most carbs in the morning, pre- and post-workout.
Switch to Muscle Milk for protein + good fats + low carbs.
Get carbs from sweet potatoes, oats and whole grains (brown rice, whole grain pasta)

Shoulda been doing this from the start, but I was just worried about calories initially... half-dirty, half-clean bulk..

5 months is about 20 weeks... 20lbs in 20 weeks isn't that much that you should have gained a ton of fat. Eat less processed shit

I have to have something to supplement my protein and calorie intake. My schedule makes it very difficult to get protein- and calorie-dense meals often enough to gain weight.

Is Muscle Milk better, or crap too? At least it doesn't have all the carbs that Cytogainer does...

1st post... 200g or more, but that's with 3 shakes a day with ~30g protein in each [edit] and 300 calories in each
