Hey what's up guys. I'm Asian American and I'm 5' 11" and I weigh about 143 (20 yrs old). I started gyming for News Years Resolution and I've been trying to gain weight. 3 months into the game. People can see I've been getting bigger but.. Even though I've been going to the gym lifting weights I ca only see that my body has improved in looking more built and etc and adding a little meat here and there. Other muscles have begun to develope and etc but everytime I weigh myself I'm the same. Sometimes I'll drink protein shakes and get my protein but at times I'm just a broke college student. I work out decently hard and I started out barely able to lift 135 and now I max out at 215 twice. If I continue lifting these weights will it get me bigger even though I don't intake enough protein everyday? Thanks OT and I want to get to at least 160 someday. lol

getting big requires a lot of cals, so you need a lot of carbs.

oats, rice, pasta, wheat bread, etc

find a natural food store around you and buy steel cut oats. 1 dollar for 3 pounds here. I mean holy shit, cant get a better price on food than that. It doesnt taste that great but it fills you up and is healthy. Other money goes towards protein powder, chicken, and then fruit veggies.

At least thats how im planning my meals when i move out and cant get free food from mommy and daddy anymore

    Yep.

That's the main reason I snack on them. Healthy, cheap, quick, easily stored, and calorie dense. Rolled oats are good too @ 300 cals per cup.

What makes the steel cut oats so much more dense in calories?

does anyone put steel-cut oats in the whey jugs? I'd be curious to how many lbs fits in there, cuz i really wanna order some, but don't want a huge bag sitting in my pantry

No health food stores around here have them cheap and I'm having a hard time finding them at farmers markets too.

dont know what to tell you... try http://www.wildoats.com/app/cda/cda.php?pt=HenrysStoreLocator and see if theres any even remotely close. even if its like half hour away, you can just go and buy 20 lbs worth and be set for a while. Not like the shit goes old :hs:
some people here order them online, but im sure it costs waaay more.
