im finding myself not having a lot of energy when I got to the gym, anyone have ideas for a preworkout shake that might help with this besides drinking energy drinks

need to know more about what you eat before you lift, otherwise everybody will say the same things...

    1) carbs
    2) sleep more
    3) caffeine

Caffeine and arginine pills. IMO this is the much cheaper and more efficient method to pre-workout supplements such as Fast Twitch and NO-Xplode.

A high dosage of protein upon waking up and pre-workout will naturally help keep your body functional also.

During workouts you can also try consuming a mixed beverage of protein powder and a simple carb drink (gatorade). This helps keep you fueled while you work out. I've tried this a few times and it works.

I'm pretty upset today with my workout this morning :hs: I usually wake up refreshed and pumped to go to the gym. Today I only had 5 hours of real sleep and I was the laziest mother fucker today, I didn't even break a sweat which really pisses me off. Shows how important sleep is.
