I can't do deadlifts, cleans, etc. with the olympic bar at my gym because it's one of these "everyone is accepted" bullshit environments and they don't want to scare anybody with the sound of a heavy weight dropping. Or something. In any case, until I can get to a gym which allows this sort of shit, how badly am I screwing myself over by doing my current 5x5 routine 4 days per week without the addition of deads or cleans? Am I going to be in bad shape in terms of muscular development when I eventually do get access to a good gym and try to start doing these particular lifts?

Depending on your goals, otherwise just do pendlay rows if they allow it.
    Can you do rack pulls?

Can't you just set the weight down carefully when doing deads? Or do they specifically say you can't do them?

"Everyone is accepted" at this gym, except for the people who actually lift real weights. :hsugh:

Rack pulls don't technically touch the floor.

I'm not in my new house yet so I don't want to cancel and then be stuck without anything at all for weeks or months. There are literally no other gyms in this area with what I need except for one that is $120 per month, an expense I can't justify at the current time

There isn't even a fucking real pull-up bar in the entire establishment. I asked the owner if I could do a chin-up on the smith machine bar and was rejected

thing is there are people in there who bitch and will rat you out, the old grandmas in the corner at the 30 minute weight station and then the soccer moms on the treadmills and ellipticals. Somebody narced out the dude next to me for dropping his dumbbell from bench-height onto the (padded) floor  small towns suck

Wait until your last week and go in there one day grunting and screaming and dead lift your max and drop it as hard as you can.

    Get your moneys worth.

I'd rather get kicked out for doing deadlifts than not doing them at all
