yup! of course i charge a solid shooting fee to go out there, so this money is all pretty much a big bonus :bigok:

the big money orders come in when the chicks send their moms the link

it's awesome, my customer's only complaint is shipping prices. they seem to overcharge a bit. its like $2.95 to ship a couple 4x6 prints :hs:

these are college kids dude, they don't have $10 to drop on a 4x6.

with my shooting fee and print orders, I usually end up making at least $75 per hour. which again, for a college kid ain't bad. :dunno:

I obviously charge different amounts for different events, depending on what I think will maximize my orders.

its all about priorities. they'll spend hundreds on a dress, makeup, hair, shoes . . . but you don't think they'll spend a few bucks on a keepsake?

Nope, you don't know how many email complaints I've gotten about smugmug charging $2.95 for shipping which they think is "OUTRAGEOUS" - oh well. I'm sure some would be willing to pay more, but I'm satisfied with this, and they are very pleased.

plus, being on their good side = more business, they have 4-5 events a year, each paying $3-400, and there are 7 sororities on campus, 4 of which i have shot for this semester and will be hired for again in the future. so honestly I'd rather have more business at a cheaper rate than less at high rates.

there is a company who charges $15 per hour and $1 per photo, so convincing them to switch to me was already a very difficult task.

but yeah, if you have any tips on how to convince them to pay more, i'd be glad to hear it, but I just don't think it'll happen :dunno: then again, I'm no pro, this is just a hobby, and a great way to make money for gear/ beer while in college.:wavey:

    see above.
