    Hi,

I have a Ubuntu server at home.

When I recently did a fresh install of XP Pro, Office etc I made a backup image using Norton Ghost, which I then kept on the Ubuntu server.

Now I'm wanting to restore this image but I'm struggling to find a good tutorial.

Has anyone ever done this? Looking for some pointers really.

    Thanks for any advice.

can your ghost image fit on a dvd? If so, just put it on there and use a ghost boot cd and re-image

otherwise, you can setup a pxeboot and transfer the image over the network using a tftp server.

Unfortunately it cannot, it's 11gb. FTP is the only way. Will look into the pxeboot you mention.

    Thanks.

note that ftp and tftp are diff.
