So in July we bought Norton Ghost 14 and I installed it on one of our PCs.

Since that time we have lost pretty much everything except the damn box. BUT Norton Ghost is still installed on the machine.

I've checked through the registry but I can't find any obvious product keys. Anyone know where it is/how to retrieve it.

Where was the original product key printed? Manual? CD Case? I can't remember.

If I can't retrieve it we're going to have to buy another damn copy

Cliffs: How can you find your own Norton Ghost product key once it's installed :hs:

i know there are programs out there that will grab a serial out a program. had to do it for my friend's office 07, because he bought it online and microsoft sent him out an academic serial. he downloaded the software, but a year later he had deleted the email that the key was in...

  3. if u bought it legit and registered, you can call and get it...
but good luck, i have had to call symantec/norton business support.. eck, its out sourced to india and it takes forever to get through

Tried that but only picks up the same keys as the rest of the applications. :hs:

Looking like we're going to have to buy a new copy at this rate. At least it's not expensive :mamoru:

I have Ghost at work. I can check tomorrow. It's in the registry somewhere.

    :x: Thanks

As a reminder the serial is in the format 00-0000-0000-000000

All I could find were a bunch of hex keys and some other much shorter decimal keys.

. since those others didn't work

Bel Arc spits out all the installed software on the machine as well as the serial for the majority of them...

It's on the yellow label which is affixed to the CD sleeve.

I tried to do a registry search based on the key I installed it with but it wasn't found so it's probably encrypted or in hex format or something.

Yes, it only gave out the same licenses as the others :hs:

    Good app otherwise though.
