A 3.5# connector, finger mag floor plates, and a JP enterprises extended mag release are inbound.

I picked one up about a week after I heard they were making them with SF's. Compared to my buddy's G26, it's a wider grip but shorter in length. It made a big difference in being able to hold onto.

I'll be shooting it tomorrow afternoon, cant fucking wait. :coold:

A friend of mine has been NAGGING me to take him to the range, so I finally folded and he's coming with tomorrow...He just had shoulder surgery. I think he'll shoot the G29 first. :mamoru:

  5. The recoil is totally manageable. I prefer shooting it to a G26/G27.

The first Glocks I shot were the 19 and 22, both of which I absolutely HATED. Didn't like the snappy recoil at all. Then a friend rented a G20 at the range. I really liked how it felt shooting 10mm, just couldn't get my hand fully around the grip.

....so do I have to call the UN's 1-800 number or what? They should probably be informed that another nuclear device is on the loose.

I can't wait till my 29 comes in. I didn't specify the SF model though so who knows what is going to come in. I actually like the thicker frame.

Edit: I see yours has the crappy step trigger. My 20 I picked up the other day has the smooth trigger. I was hoping the 29 would too.

I'm surprised, I would have thought that thing would be a snappy little fucker...

  9. I like the size of the standard frame too.

  10. The recoil feels much like the "slow push" of the .45 It's nothing like a 9mm or .40

I've never shot 10mm before but I would imagine feeling more recoil than from a G19.

  12. There is definitely more recoil, but it's a different kind of recoil. Have you ever shot a .45? The .45 and 9mm feel totally different, and that is the same as the 10mm and 9mm.

TopGunSupply has the G29SF's for $570. I paid $584 OTD from my local FFL. :hsd:

My hands were too small to hold onto the regular frame. I don't care too much about the trigger, may change it out at some point but I dunno.

I just loathe that trigger. I don't understand why they ever went to it. It just feels awkward to me. I haven't changed the one on my 19 yet but I figure I'll just swap the one from my 34 into it when I eventually get a glockworx fulcrum.

BTW I don't know if you or MarketGarden are looking for mags but CDNN has 29 mags for $15. Probably the cheapest new glock mag I've found lately.

I saw that earlier. I'll probably pick up 3 or 4 even though I don't really need em.

Does not look like an extended mag release to me. Looks like the standard mag release in lenght.

Is your 29sf a ambi mag release?

SF's aren't ambi-mag release. It's got the stock 29 release right now but it'll be swapped for a JP extended one in a couple days.
