If that even makes sense. I can not be any type of real "soldier" due to a blood clotting disorder, but some day I think I would appreciate having a job with the military. Is there even such thing? I'm studying computer science next year and may get a masters. So what could a 26 year old tech freak do for the military and actually do something interesting (nothing near an office building) for the military? I have no idea what I'm talking about so feel free to own me.

Just lost a friend who was an Army Ranger in Iraq two weeks ago too...may be the reason I want to do this but I've also always liked the idea of serving in the military, but can't really be a true 'soldier' due to the blood disease.

I assume you mean work for the military but as a civilian right? If you have a blood clotting disorder i dont think you can be a soldier period. I can't see you doing much else outside of an office building with your disorder, well not without putting yourself in alot of danger. Theres lots of things you can do though and make great money. Intelligence and Computers are 2 right off the top of my head.

Several bases, the ones off the top of my head are Scott AFB and Maxwell AFB both have big software engineering flights and everything network related. They hire contrators to code software, manage networks, etc.

Thats basically what I'd like to do. Do they get paid comparatively to any other job that requires the same ____ at a business?
