Hey guys...I know this is a noobie question but I'm trying to update the firmware of a Linksys router and after downloading the update I find that the file is .bin - How do I open this? :noes:

Don't touch it, that file needs to remain exactly as it was downloaded.

What you do is go into the router setup page (probably http://192.168.0.1 ) and find the firmware update panel. It will ask you to upload that .bin file.

ok good...I was beginning to worry. One more question...anyone know the username and password for the WRT54GS? I assumed it was admin and blank password but that's not working either. This router was a freebie and linksys' website isn't loading the user manual for it. :ugh2:

    Thanks
