I've never done any post processing on any pictures. I'm trying to make this picture a little more bolder to create a poster for a friend of mine. I'm using a trial version of Lightroom.

I would like to make a 24x36 poster, but I get "low resolution" warnings from Winkflash with the original size of 3456x2304. Anyone know how big I can go with this size original?

Does either of these look any better?
    ANY criticism is welcome.

Better link to original? One that does not require a membership would be cool.

the numbers/letters on the car look nicer and are sharper. the overall picture has more blacks in it.

go to flickr and get a pro account man. flickr is the tits!

    :eek3:

that looks like it could be out of GT5 or something.

i'm not sure that i want to go with the fake background, but thanks. it looks amazing. i have no idea how anyone does that kind of stuff.

would it be hard to blur the background?

noise ninja FTMFL. the noise removal algorithm in those programs is nothing more than a small group softening layer. it analyzes pixels adjacent to each other, and makes them all similar, effectively softening your image, and removing the noise.

Printers, and more specifically printer paper, contains a fair amount less detail than your screen, so the noise is nowhere NEAR as apparent as it is on screen.

The lack of sharpness, however, is.

genuine fractals is a godsend though. if you're sending it to me, just send me the full size ready to print jpg, and i'll enlarge it myself. If you're sending it to a printshop, enlarge it to the image size you want the final print to be, at 300dpi.

so i messed around a little more today with some pics. here are the ones i'm considering printing to canvas...

please let me know what you like or dislike about anything. nothing has been cropped yet, but feel free to give me suggestions with that too.
(i'm working on a 7 year old notebook, so if the colors or something look wrong on your nice monitor, speak up)

#1 (this is the same shot as #2, but little more neutral looking... it doesn't stand out as much as the others i think)
