Noob question

    Hey,

    Im 5'8" about 145 pounds. I just started going to the gym yesterday and just have a quick general question.

    For someone who is lactose intolerant, whats the best whey protein to buy? Id also like some weight gainer too, so is there one product i can buy that will solve both these problems?

    I read this in the sticky:
    A piece of advice for those with fast metabolisms: drop two servings of natural PB into your protein shakes for a healthy and calorically dense "weight gainer." That’ll add 400 calories to your shake, with none of it coming from sugar.

    Anyone else do this who has fast metabolisms?

    I think the best PRotein for people with lactose intolerance is ISOpure. I dont know of any other one's.

    Try ON Whey or something...worse taht can happen is that you shit yourself at the gym:dunno:

    :noes: What about weight gainer? Do i buy this seperately and take both of these after im done at the gym?

    edit: maybe should have asked and seen which protein is the best to mix with water

    my roomate takes that but i dont know if that counts as both a weight gainer and a protein shake thing

    In addition to being lactose intolerant, i have IBS, irritable bowel syndrome.

    So basically no matter what I eat, ill crap a half hour later, its like an ongoing cycle...something goes in, something goes out

    Dude the truth is that you need nutrients to get big. IF your body cant retain them long enough for digestion then your outta luck. Kinda like that Jockey in "True Life: I want the Perfect Body". What for you is to gain 5lbs of muscle is to a regular man to gain 20-30lbs of muscle. Sounds kinda wierd but its truth.:wtc:

    :rofl:i used to take steriods, back when i had to see a height doctor....worst thing ive ever had to stick in my leg, was like thick oil flowing through your veins

    weightgainer shakes are usually just whey protein with tons of calories, so you wont need to take both if you are already taking a massgainer shake.

    Have you ever been on any antibiotics? If so, there are bacteria living in your intestines that could have been killed. If those are out of balance you can often get symptoms that seem like lactose intolerance and IBS. Something you may want to look into. :dunno:
