Alright, like many skinny piece of shits I am bulking.. been doin good so far.. 5'11 152 last week, just weight myself 157.. eating everything in sight... now... i see myself gettin "bigger" (in my eyes) but my arms are lacking in size.. i mean they are twigs...I mostly concentrate in bench and squats now.. but when i do work out my arms i see no progress... could genes play a big role? I do the usual curls and focus heavily on my tricep but to no prevail WTF.. BTW my goal is to be around 170 by early october.. which i highly doubt but thats my goal...

    flame one bitches..

usually it takes more than a couple workouts to develop large muscular arms

arms take the longest in most cases... the best way to have big arms is to have a small waist.. Its all about proportions...

As a skinny guy myself (6'3 / 175 ) It took me a very long time to actually concept lots of the whole ,getting big / gaining weight. Don't eat everything in sight make sure your eating correctly and track your diet.

Also don't worry about your arms or anything especially after a month. This is not an over night thing you won't lift weight and then a week later your body changes into Arnold.

Very simple, eat big lift big get big. If your not taking lots of WHEY then you better make sure your eating lots of protein.

If you need a work out check the stickies tons of good info in there.

GOOD LUCK POST IN 3 months and tell me how it went.

"so i started lifting 5 minutes ago and i'm not broly yet, wtf is wrong, is it genetics, can that be the excuse i use, cause it cant' be because i just started lifting and probably aint' working hard enough to do shit anyway and i eat like shit but my arms aren't massive and ripped, what gives"

that's what i read anyway, maybe i'm wrong lol

You can't take whey in moderation. Get that 1-1.5g / lb of bodyweight a day in. Its not going to hurt you.

I don't think anyone on F&N has "after" photos or "final product" photos.

A true lifter will have "before" pics and "progress" pics

Why do people refuse to take supplements like they are poisons?

I do think that a lot of the guys in here jump on the newest "coolest" stuff when it's helping them very miinimally, but I think on the other end of the spectrum, some guys see the supplements as "cheating" (these are usually the guys that could use the most help).

I went to dinner with work friday, and this skinny fat guy starts talking to me about shit. Of course, he asks why I'm not drinking, and why I didn't get a dessert like everybody else. Because I'm trying to lean out and blah blah blah. Oh man, you don't take a bunch of those protein shakes do you? That crap is cheating! If you can't do it with your diet only, you might as well be on growth hormones, or steroids!

 I hate people like that. They usually don't have a clue about anything fitness related but will talk shit.

To the original poster... if you've been busting your ass with good rest, nutrition and a sound workout for 7-12 months and still aren't seeing progress then you can worry about it.
