How long did it take to get yours? Coming up on 2.5 months of waiting here. :hs: I know it can be up to 3 months, but I've heard of folks getting them quicker.

I'm thinking about getting a Florida one. It's only $17 for another year compared to ours and it works in my state.

Is there any disadvantage to getting and out of state one instead of getting one for your state?

That would be entirely dependent on the state in which you live, its carry laws, and how they differ from FL's carry laws. The big advantage is that more states have reciprocity with FL than any other state, I believe, so you can carry just about anywhere that would allow a carry permit for its own residents.

    Thanks for the info.

I'm thinking I might file for a FL llicense but I'm going to take the CCW class here with another friend who is going to get his. It took the state 3 months to send in his application and the place told me I need to get that stuff before I take the class.
