That's all America ever wanted is to recreate Cuba how they want Cuba to look and not give a shit about what the Cubans want.

Great assumption I am sure you know a ton about what Cubans want......lol......

I can say building better infrastructure for them will make them happy.....The amount of money and development that will be put into Cuba will be unreal, even in a depressed economy.

Cuba will be an east coast version of Hawaii with gambling......

Right now the Canadians and Europeans go there and they don't really give a crap....They love the brothels.....

Why do you think Raul Castro is wanting an open dialog with the US......He understands the benefits for the country......Fidel just needs to die soon......So the progress can begin.....

werd but for there to be FDI into cuba the economy in the states needs to pick up. Cuba is too unstable for them to invest in right now. But I know exactly what you mean its close to NA and has a great opportunity to be developed.

This is what we do with everyone, not just Cubans.

It's precisely why the world as a whole hates us.

There is huge money waiting to go......regardless of the economy.....You have to understand the people that are going in their have money and understand this is the best time in the world to get into development.....It is all about liquid assests and purchasing power with ultra high credit status as a back up.....

they have more food now than they had before Castro and will have after Castro. Transitioning from Communism to Capitalism is not easy and will not happen overnight, one must only look at Russia's transition and how much famine spread with the fall of the iron curtain.

 sure, Havana wasn't, Santiago wasn't, but drive through the countryside and you would have found that 1 in 10 people could read and even that 1 person had not had adequate nutrition for the day.

the literacy rate still hasnt gone up. They changed the definition of literacy from being able to read and write to being able to sighn your name. Keep in mind the era that this was in. Your telling me 90 percent of america was literate during this time? Even if the working class farmers were having issues now they have just as much issues as they had then the only exception is the castro regime effectively destroyed the middle class and created a new ruling class.
