What a sad day for me, coming soon to be 21, waiting for all these time, not to get a pack of beer in Walmart or order a nice magarita in a nice bar. Have been playing airsoft overseas for 8 years, thought I could have a real Glock to display at home. Today I found out that non-immigrant residents are not allowed to purchase firearms could be one of the sadest day of my life. Anyways, any one knows where to purchase a BLANK firing Glock 17/19/23? Thanks!

No affiliation with our country, no rights as recognized by our country. Sorry, but I agree.

From the sounds of it, you don't need a gun anyways.. a Glock to "display?" Airsoft isn't any type of training for a real firearm, either.

And why do you want a blank-firing replica? Something sounds amiss here..

I have a green card and rescently bought a gun.. There were a few loopholes to jump thru.

I'd prefer someone who had zero experience to someone who had airsoft/paintball as experience.

At least someone with zero is going to treat a firearm with the utmost attention, because they're unfamiliar with it.. someone with airsoft/paintball background is going to be much more nonchalant about it.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings if people were required to attend a basic firearms handling class, either.. or at least see it taught in schools.

First, thanks all for the comments. Just trying to rant about it. Its all good. My intention to get a Glock is just i have been wanting a real one in my possession. If I cant, thats fine.

Second, I know airsoft isnt a type of training dealing with real firearms, I have not said that at all in my posts. I also do not agree "someone with airsoft/paintball background is going to be much more nonchalant about it." I think its a person-to-person thingy, not everyone who played airsoft/paintball would be much more nonchalant. I prefer the fact that I know how to turn the safety on than someone just kept playing around with the trigger without safety on and shot someone. Anyways, as i said, everyone is different, doesnt mean someone is with less experience would treat real firearms with utmost attention.

Thrid, it actually does hurt my feelings that anyone over 21 can get a real firearm without going thru intensive physical and mental training course.

Tatsuya Sakai from Japan trained with airsoft for 11 months in japan and won the 2004 steel challenge; he fired a real gun for the first time right before the match. Apparently airsoft is some sort of training :noes:

well as i said, and some of you dont understand. Since I cannot get a real firearm, which I dont actually want to (to not get into trouble), then my only choice left is blank firing gun. At least blank gun are made with material closer to the real thing than airsoft does, and it cannot fire any real bullets even if i want to (which I'd never want to). In short, i just want a real Glock without possibility of getting into trouble. Anyways, olvidalo, forget it. Thank all though.

So playing around with the trigger is OK as long as the safety is on? That's pretty much the nonchalant attitude one of the other posters was talking about.

You sound like you have no clue what you're talking about. Just a guess from reading your posts. You do realize that Glocks don't have an external safety, right? I doubt you knew that. Stick to playing with guns that shoot plastic balls.
