does anyone know how their model numbering work? like what does the first number mean (3 series, 6 series, etc)? and is the 6230 necessarily better than the 6020 because its a higher number? :dunno:

I'm not sure there is a system behind that...

I know the series have some meaning, for example:

3er series is a cheaper type, aimed at younger people
    9er series are the communicators.

i honestly don't think there's any rhyme or reason to it...at least not these days.

perfect example: 3600, 6620 and 7610 are all fairly similar in size and features.

the only models that seem to stay fairly close in model number is the communicator series with model numbers starting with 9.
