Im getting a new cingular family plan (socal) and I have the option of getting either the Nokia 6230 or the Moto V600. My friend has the v600 and it seems like a pretty cool phone but i've heard good things about the 6230 (newer?). Which would you get?

They don't make the V600 anymore. However, I have used one in the past, and I prefer the 6230 over it. It's small and packs a lot of functionality in it. The other phone that is out right now that is comparable to the V600 is the V551, but I'd still take the 6230 over it. I like the 551 and all, but I gave it to my friend instead because I like the Nokia better.

The Nokia has a removable face plate and you can easily take a dust can to it and it's as good as new. I put mine in my pocket (because I don't like holsters) all the time and whenever it's dusty I just wipe it off.

    ...and it's a Nokia.

Out of the Moto V551, SE T637 and Nokia 6230, the Nokia is the only phone that doesn't cause any buzzing when I'm using it near computer speakers.

LOL...SE and Motorola are notorious for feedback on electronic devices that project any RF. :big grin: However my S700i and P910 have not done it. :)

Good to know the S700i didn't do it, hopefully S710a will be clean too.

so are all these phones ok to use with Tmobile also? I believe they are on the same network as cingular, but not sure if the phones are interchangable
