Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but it's truck related.

I’d been noticing a squeaking noise coming from the front area of my truck. When I pressed on the brakes the noise would stop, so common sense told me that I needed to have them looked at. I took the truck in today and it turns out that the pads were shot and the rotors were beyond resurfacing, so I had the front pads and rotors replaced, but the noise is still there. Also, if I turn the steering wheel a bit to the right, the noise seems to subside.

Thoughts on what it might be? It’s an ’02 Sierra 1500 2WD.

But could that be the case if the noise stops when I depress the brake pedal?

i don't think anyone can give you something concrete.. What month did you buy it in? Warranty, perhaps? I'd take it to someone that knows what they're doing, and can drive it.
