how many people have come across, people popping on piss tests and not getting kicked out under the militaries no tolerance policy?

i know i have seen it quite a few times. thats why it is hilarious that they even try to have a no tolerance policy. there are so many policies that the military pretends to uphold, and then doesn't even come close/ care about. please, tell me something i don't know...

I was thinkin the same thing too. I 'know' some ppl that I surely thought were gonna pop, yet they continue to serve. :dunno:

The "zero tolerance" policy usually only applies to NCO's and Officers, junior enlisted are giving a second chance. With that said, with todays OPTEMPO being as high as it is there is a huge demand for manpower, and people are getting away with more and more every day.

We had a guy get kicked out after a failed dorm inspection. It was such a mess he had to go meet the commander, he told him he frankly didn't care. Next day he got a DSV on the line and was expedited out the door.

well they are still cutting people so they can pay for all their new F22s. I wonder if they could do a complete change of service on somebody if they pop on a piss test. Smoke dope and go green. Army needs people anyway.

I've seen two piss hot for drugs (one coke, one pot). Both were E4's, and both remained in the service but were reduced in rank to E2, lost pay, etc, etc, etc.

I've also heard of several NCOs that pissed hot. I never met them, because they were booted out before I got to the unit.

NCO = higher expectation & stiffer punishments.

have 1 currently on restriction for coke, about to be booted.

prior active on subs, had 2 get popped on marijuana and booted.

12 years in, haven't seen anyone stay that popped in the navy.

I'd bet that it would cause a sharp drop in drug use if they made that a policy.

seen one pop for weed. He was a E3. The only thing he got was restriction. No loss of rank or pay. Just depends on the chain of command, I guess

Navy always booted you, no matter who you were.

At least every wing/ship I was attached too.
