I was transfering video from my camcorder to my brother-in-laws PC via USB the other day. When we finished the capture, there wasn't any sound. Any ideas on what could have happened? We were using the video capture feature on Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.

I always transfer video to my PC via firewire, but he doesn't have a card for it, so we are stuck with USB for now.

Any ideas or general things to check out??

When I record on my capture card, I have to change my sound properties to recording instead of playback.

To do this, go to your master volume controls, click options, properties. Click recording, and see if it works. It's worth a try.

Sorry so late, but I got it figured out...

There was a sound setting in the capture software that was set to the PC's soundcard by default that I had to change to the camera.
