what do you guys think about having no rest days? i push myself 5-6 times a week and usually on the 7th day, i do something moderate like forearms only and consider it a rest day since its not a large muscle group or gets me pushed.

heres how my routine looks as of last 2 weeks:

    mon - chest/tri
    tues - back/traps
wed - lower body/hips (sometimes stomach & ab stuff)
    thurs - bi/maybe forearms
    fri - shoulders/traps
sat - whatever muscle group(s) i feel that i have been falling back on
sun - forearms (my rest day)

i was thinking about making chest and tri 2 whole different days, but it seems like whenever i do chest, my tris are involved.

Is it really necessary to give forearms their own day?

I'll do some forearm curls or the wrist roller shit at the end of my workouts sometimes.

going to have to agree with Tize for once :eek3:

how do you have one day for your ENTIRE lower body, yet have one day just for forearms? You're going to probably get a lot better results following a premade routine.

Rest is important. It helps you recover and not get burnt out.

You've basically got two rest days built in there.

In all fairness to the argument, if you design the routine correctly, you may be able to go with no rest and be fine. Depending on how you split up your routine and exercises, of coure. But it would still be taxing to the CNS to workout every single day.

    ^its addictive:hs:

the reason why i had forearms as the whole day is to consider it a 'rest' day since its not a large muscle group that really pushes me. so as im doing forearms, my other muscle groups can 'rest'.

it sucks planning a routine and stand by it. i feel better just freestyling it out on whatever i feel like doing (not like bi's daily, but actually exercise each muscle group fairly). example: when i plan my DL days, im so weak at it. but when i feel like doing them one day, i do much better and lift better. same for squats.

You're so wishy washy with your routines, you might not get that great of results. Stick to one thing and keep at it. Stop changing your routine between posts.
