i just bought a house and im gonna be moving 45min away from my current residence now.

i was paying $400/year with all access to everything in the gym and it was brand new two years ago.

now, so im either going to bally's ($19down--19/month for 3years)
or Lifetime Fitness ($250 sign up fee and $55/month)

or local park district for $170/year.

im really confused now on which route to go to :hs:

im leaning towards the local park district. coz its cheaper and i only work out for 45min a day anyways.

but ballys/lifetime would be nice since its bigger and im guessing better equipment.

    help me decide :wtc:

I got Lifetime to waive the signup fees when I told them I was only going to be living where I was for a few months (which was true). The signup fees are usually tacked onto a 1-year.

ballys is a huge scam. It used to be that when you signed on with them it was actually a loan that you were slowly repaying. So you were locked in for that 3 year period or else they'd set a collection agency on you or whatever.
Not sure if it's still like that, but past experiences leave a bad taste in my mouth.
grats on the house, though

thanks guys for the support. im still confused and pissed off about this. im excited to move to my new townhouse but i dont wanna leave my gym :wtc:

as far as where im moving-----im moving to hanover park (irving/barrington area)---

i was gonna get a bigger house with huge basement (and it had an extra room in the basement) and my plan was to put a home gym.....basically i was gonna buy a DB set from 5lbs to 150lbs. and adjustable bench.

but that place was too big for me for myself.

i havent been on here coz ive been busy looking for a house and been chillin at my friends shop.

im thinking, imma ask to take a tour to all three places and see which one i feel more comfortable. but since im only there for 45min, im leaning towards the cheapest one :o as long as they have all the weights i need :x:
