So, finally there are no longer any MFS champions, Rich doesn't hold the belt, Hughes doesn't hold the belt, and Sylvia doesn't hold the belt.

Which MFS fighter do you think has the best chance at regaining the title?

Obviously Sylvia will never have it again, the guy is a Fraud at best, he calls himself a striker, but can't knock out a guy thats 5'9, and I'm not even sure he landed a shot at a guy that turns 44 in 100 days, so as long as there is enough money in the UFC for guys like Crocop, he'll never touch the belt again.

Franklin didn't look great in his fight, but he was definetly coming on in the later and put a bad beating on MacDonald, so if he heals up good and gets some confidence, he could retake the belt.

Matt Hughes couldn't finish off B level fighter Lytle, he dominated, but couldn't finish him, or really hurt him all that bad. Matt was never in trouble, but he didn't look great, I doubt he'll be able to take George down like he took Lytle down.

    What do you all think?

if crocop sticks around, nope sylvia is gone for a while.

franklin could come back to his old self, like you said he was looking like the ace in the last round. he only crosstrains with MFS right? I didn't think it was his main gym.

matt hughes stuck to his old school gameplan. obviously that's not gonna work on GSP, so until he can grow a bit more as a fighter he probably won't get it back, that is unless GSP continues his habit of overtraining and comes into their rematch at less than 100%.

Could be right, just seems like he corners them from time to time.

    Sorry, my mistake.

I just wish Franklin stopped with the looping punches, hes going to get caught by Anderson if he keeps throwing those wide punches :hs:

I know its his style, I just really like Rich as a fighter and would like him to beat Anderson. But we've seen time and time again, nice crisp, straight punches > looping punches. Its like Silva is his kryptonite :hs:

Franklin's punching isn't so bad. He wasn't doing terribly in the stand-up against Silva before Silva put him in the clinch and obliterated him. Franklin didn't really look himself that fight, so a confident and fit Franklin will be a lot more of a threat against Silva than some people are making out.

I'm a big Silva fan and I'm sure he won't underestimate Ace when the rematch comes.

shows how good that group of fighters is that it's even an issue that they don't hold a belt right now. not many gyms can claim that much respect
