    any of you bjj bros ever went to a yoga class?

    IM THINKING ABOUT GOING BUT DONT WANT TO LOOK LIKE MORE OF A FAGGOT THAN I ALREADY AM. ANYONE GO? I HAVE A FEELING I'M GOING TO GET MY ASS KICKED.

    i've farted in a few classes. one time the instructor was on the far side of me, so i was in between her and the rest of the class. we moved from some ridiculous pose to another, and the fart was involuntary. she looked at me and :rofl:'d then made a point to talk to me after every class. she dug it.

    I need to do yoga. The flexibility in my legs is so pathetic :wtc: I can barely do kicks to the mid section. Can't event touch the floor without bending my knees.

    I go a few times a month now, cause it's free (with the gf) :X Oh and yeah it's not as easy as it looks, if you have good balance and flexibility you should do well though.

    I took yoga for a while, it DID help with my rubber guard... just sayin...

    you don't have to go to a yoga class to stretch. just do a routine on your own and you'll progress soon enough.

    It's so true.


    There is this really painful way to stretch your thighs, but it helps with this problem. You sit down and put your feet together and pull them in as close to you as possible and with your elbows push down and away. We usually do that and then have a friend stand on both knees and push them to the ground. Hurts like a mother fucker, but it helped my one friend who can now kick head level, after not being able to kick above his hips.

    Edit: Oh and obviously do the one where someone stands on your knees after you've already stretched your groin for good reason lol.

    i want to start going too. flexibility plus breathing techniques are both pretty important in jiu-jitsu.

    I've considered it. I try at home and since I'm at home it's easy for me to give up. Plus nobody is around to help and tell me what I'm doing wrong.
