I have been going to class about 2 times a week (only time I have) and after about a 1 1/2 hours or a essentially a class I feel like dying. Now I know first thing that comes to mind is keep practicing and stop being a pussy. However it is not that I am totally gassed it is just that I have no energy, start getting a headache, and usually feel like I just want to sleep so by the next class I get extremely lazy and its hard to pay attention.

Half way through the second class after pounding some gatorade I catch my second wind and am back to normal. I changed my diet up a few weeks back spreading out my meals, eating healthier, having shakes after workouts basically all the things I should be doing. This is when I noticed this started happening.

I think it maybe due to not enough carbs earlier in the day, but my friend suggested since the diet change I may not be taking in enough water throughout the day. Any suggestions? :hsughno:

    Sure you're getting enough calories?

When trying to manage my weight I have a tendency to take in two few which leads to shitty work out sessions.

I tried a week or two with a low carb diet and started really feeling like shit during/after class. Felt like I couldnt catch my breath.

Actually I think I may not be taking in enough since the meals are small and I don't get many in since I wake up late due to a late schedule at work.

But calories, would that matter? Maybe I'm not taking in enough carbs?

Yeah I feel this way also, my heart rate goes up but takes forever to slow down. Once It almost back to normal I feel great and continue with my classes, usually by this time I have loaded back up with some gatorade though giving.

I drink water regularly, but maybe not enough. Any suggestions how much water I should be taking down?

I'm not sure you understand what a calorie is.

A calorie is an amount of energy that a food produces.

Carbs have calories, they aren't a separate type of measurement. You need at least 2 thousand, but being active you probably need more.

Cutting calories just makes you feel shitty and tired and you can't work out near as hard.

Um have a scoop of whey directly before a workout and 90 minutes in. Gatorade does nothing for performance.

Agreed with the previous poster, figure out what a calorie is please

I'm not sure YOU understand what a calorie is.

A calorie is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree Celsius.

On days i go to class i make sure to drink a lot of water while at work and i recently started eating a piece of fruit (like an apple or pear) about 2 hours before class. The fruit has made a noticable difference in my energy level during class.

Not trying to sound smart, you just learn the shit after years and years of nutrition classes.

Then how did you fail to notice that energy is measured in calories?

All you did was define what exactly a calorie was in terms of energy. That was of no use to him at all, in any way.

what's your height/weight/bodyfat. log all your meals for a couple of days on daily burn, and post the calories/macro ratio.

I did ask and I think you are starting to get frustrated that I am not bringing up his name lately.

    Get off my nuts IMO.
