I was talking to my recruiter and he told me to never get a speeding ticket when i'm in the fleet because I can get an NJP for it :hsugh:.

Is this true? An NJP over a stupid speeding ticket?

    lmao

From someone that got 3 tickets on base, no.

You'll get resticted from driving on base first....

I think he's talking about getting ticketed out in town, but you're right about getting caught on base. Accord- I've never seen anyone get NJP for a speeding ticket. It might happen, but never in my experience.

Off base? Yea, if you get a DUI, otherwise, not really. (Also got 2 tickets for speeding off base)

Yes, you can get an NJP.

It depends on the severity of it I guess.

It can also depend on your unit and how anal they are.. I work in admin and have seen NJPs coming in from other units for as little as being 5 minutes late to PT. :eek4:

If it's off base.. get it taken care of immediately or the authorities will report it to your superiors. Let you superiors know immediately that you got a speeding ticket and you're taking care of it.

If it's on base (which I've never gotten).. you'll probably lose driving privleges on base for 1 - 3 months depending on the violation.

On Lejeune if you are off base and you are in town and do 15 over sometimes they will take your driving rights on base away.:jerkit:
