ie: Walking from house to my car in my driveway to get something at night, could I legally carry my weapon, holstered and concealed and draw it if threatened by lethal force or someone threatening my life?

I do not have a CC permit, just the regular permit.

  2. I do not know any specific NJ laws, but generally you can do pretty much whatever you want on private property.

I'm not sure how itis up there, but in FL you can do just about anything on private property. Hell I walk to the car on range days with a 91/03 slung over one shoulder and an AK slung over the other. I haven't had any problem, but 2 of my 3 immediate neighbors are gun owners and I do not know about the 3rd.

In your scenario I would worry more about the legally acceptable times to respond with deadly force than the carrying it bit.

One time Gaunt was carrying his Mosin and FAL across the parking lot to load in my truck and some of the neighbors ran inside.

I don't know about all that. I mean, I wouldn't go waving anything around, you could still face brandishing charges.

Just because it's your property, doesn't mean you can stand on your front lawn in the nude ;)

No. You need a CC permit. Its stupid i know, one reason i no longer live in the ashtray state.

Edit: also, you might get away with it if you're white and tell the cops you're afraid of black people in the area doing whatever.
