Nizpro Ford 4L breaks 1200hp mark, 1000kw the next goal **pics/video**

    If you have been living in a ditch the past 6 months and havent heard the news of nizpro's worked 4L 6 cylinder (part of the new XR6 Turbo range in aus), they have gone futher and broken the 1200hp mark at the crank.

    why did it seem they were cycling the motor on the dyno?

    they arent doing stress testing, it is just like a dyno run on a chassis dyno, you ramp it up, reach the peaks, then fall back off.

    Why would you want to crank it all the way just to go boom? Do it in stages so you'll know what it can handle...

    hey, the 4 liter in the regular stang is an V6 right?

    If so, can you imagine what would happen if they had a N/A version of this 6 in the base stang? :o

    Exactly, you make a pull at such and such boost, timing, and fuel. Then you make changes and check your data and let things cool down, most importantly the water in the engine brake system. Its just that I have never seen dyno pulls made in the fashion that were shown in the video. Why did they do this?

    Must suck to be you guys, you can buy an off the shelf blower kit for our falcon XR8 which will have it producing around 530kw :)

    Nizpro sell stage III kits for the 4L, they only expect around 350kw at the wheels though. If you want more you have to go to APS who have one for the 6 which is into the 400kw range.

    don't feel too sorry for us. At least we get a nice 2 door mustang to put our V8s in instead of a huge barge falcon :mamoru:

    You dont need to let things cool, as i said before, it is very similar to doing a power run on a chassis dyno.
