Well figure out what percent $100,000 is to what Nissan took in last year and I'm sure it will be a very small number.

$1,242,142 + a pinky from the left hand of every executive.

maybe enough to cover the profits that they'll see from the sales increase once charley's aftermath is over and people remember nissan as a niceguy.

they can hold a small % out.

GM only donated $100k and they are a hell of a lot bigger than Nissan.

GM also donated 3 Hummer H2s to the Red Cross. But we know those are useless.

And figure out what I made last year and I'll donate the same percentage as them. :|

Whenever someone does something good, there is someone who has done jack shit if anything always criticizing.

You sound like a liberal. All complaints, no solutions.

    They got a deal.
They get the media exposure to improve their image...
and since it was for a charitable purpose, it's of course tax write off.

Donation is a form of long time investment.

It's not about percentages. It's about dollars. Percentages don't buy supplies, money does. Whatever percentage of Nissan's income $100k makes up will do far more good than the same percentage of your income.

So if I gave a dollar what would you think? You would just say "so fucking what".

That is what 100K is to that company. It isn't that they care it is to advertise that they gave.

Ohh also forgot the tax write off!

100,000 dollars will buy a lot of canned food items for a lot of people. It is a nice gesture. They didn't have to donate anything.
