So my right nipple is still crusting quite a bit(I sleep on that side) and this morning when I went to clean it,the crust was almost a pinkish color, sort of like it leaked a very small amount of blood. I know that it's probably nothing to be worried about, but I've had them since early august, and I've had no blood the entire healing time up until now. Is this normal?:noes:

Make sure you're cleaning them with an antibiotic (Bactine) daily.

When I got my nipples done, they said specifically to use Bactine.

I was told not to use bactine for my nipples or RPA, but they didnt say why. I was told it was ok on my ears. They were two different peircers though.

don't use bactine, as AB said, it over dries the wound. It also kills off the good bacteria that is essantial to healing and prolongs the healing process.

    Use sea salt

Nope, anything like neosporin or polysporin are medicated for infections. Your piercing isnt infected so all they'll do is prohibit healing.

I am in Australia and I have only ever used sea salt baths on all my piercings. As that's what I have always been advised to use. I haven't even heard of any of the stuff you're all talking about.

If you are concerned about the peiring being infected the best advice is always go see your piercer.

Other good non-piercer advice is to soak it with sea salt, as has been said

and pinkish puss is not bad, I beleive it was grayish or greenish means an infection. Been a while since my last peircings, can someone correct me if I am wrong on this?

no bactine ever on any piercing. sea salt soaks work the best on anything. i've had mine pierced for around 4 years and still get crusties.

I had my nipple rings for 3 years and they would occasionally crust. nothin to worry about.
