Thread title says it all. I'm going to be swapping my rear sprocket for a smaller (taller OA ratio) one. I may consider swapping the front, too, but I'm not looking for an extreme difference, just about 1000rpm at 70-75mph in top gear.

If you've swapped your rear sprocket, I wanna know what brand you got, and if you like it. Also, what's everyone's opinion on the aluminum sprockets out there? I've made many things out of aluminum, but a sprocket just doesn't seem like something I'd use aluminum for. The lighter weight of the Al sprocket would be a nice advantage, though, so if no one has had issues with them, I'll consider it in my search.

    Thanks, all.

    I should have said:

better MPG. If I need to go zoomzoom I'll downshift. This is a commuter bike for me.
