    Amidst the hype of digital photography, I'm still a big fan of film cameras.
    I'm going to China in March so I need a good camera. I'm an amateur photographer just starting out. But that doesn't mean I want a 'beginner's camera' necessarily.

    I'm a Nikon fan so i've got it down to the N75 vs. N80. I've been reading up on both and either one has its ups and downs. Any experience with these two?

    BTW, I haven't completely ruled out Canon but I don't know the model that compares to the Nikons. Is it the Rebel?

    Thanks. :)

    In terms of Cosmetics the N75 is like a rebel, and the N80 is closer to a 10D .

    :dunno:

    The N80 is worth the extra money.

    N80 doesn't have the preset shooting modes that I use a lot..... so I got the N75 :hsugh:

    Actually that's one of my concerns.

    Also, I've been reading in the camera forums and they said that the body is not as important as the lens. So i gather, lens first body second.

    Decisions = :rl:

    yes lens first body second, however preset shooting modes suck, the D70 has them, and ive never used them, full manual or app/shutter priority is the only way to go

    I'd rather get an N90 than an N70.

    n80 or if you dont mind buying an older used camera, you might be able to find the n90s for a good deal....but spend the money on the glass as well..
