Has anyone bought a D90? If so, how does it pair up to the D200 or D300?

Stick with your D80 and spend money on quality glass. The D80 is a great and very capable camera and I keep mine as my backup to my D300.

But to answer your question, the D90 is closer to the D300 than than the D200.

Yeah, I love my D80 and I know it has a lot of potential if I learn it more and same with my editing. I asked the question more for just reference and for the future. When you say glass do you mean a lens? What would you recommend? I've been looking at the Sigma 10-20 mm which I really love..

    Yes, he means a lens.

Take a look at the Tokina 11-16. It's better.

Yep, glass=lens. Depends on your budget and focal range your looking at.

I have the Sigma 10-20 and love it!

Me too from what I see :). Next purchase I think unless you know of any other lens that would be better.

Picture-wise, it is a D300. It uses the same sensor. In much the same way that the D40x/D60, D80, and D200 all shared the same technology, the D90 shares the sensor from the D300.

    Only thing youre missing is....
    Shooting speed
    AF points
    Body size
    Body build
    Some other features Im sure...

D90 is a very capable camera though.

Like ericande said, the Tokina is another alternative for that focal length. It has a fixed f/2.8 all the way through the focal range. Which is nice in low light, however you give up some of the range compared to the Sigma. I've never shot with it, but I've heard really good things about it. :edit: and there's one for sale by Bloody Sunday http://forums.offtopic.com/showthread.php?t=4001481

Of course Nikon's 12-24 is always on option for super wides. Or the AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED :wackit:

That's pretty good. My cousin just broke his D70 recently and is looking for a new camera...I told him the D90 is prob. the way to go. Congrats.

Nice choice. I've had a D80 and D90 and much prefer the D90's sensor, metering and extra features.

    Update on the store:

I was a little nervous because they had mixed reviews on resellerratings.com (7.1 out of 10.) I had to call them the day after I placed my order (yesterday) because I had it shipped to a different address than my debit card was billed too. They sorted it out and then asked if I needed a lens, I said no. They asked if I needed any extra batteries, I said I had plenty. He said it would ship today. I got a tracking number by email today. I should get it Thursday and I'll post up how everything looks. So far I'm happy with the process. Live cash back showed up in my account but it will be a few weeks until it hits my paypal account.
